What is Cleave?
Cleave is a faith-based app for married couples. Each day it gives you one short, meaningful moment together — a shared question you each answer, a brief Scripture devotional, prayer, and small acts of love — to help you grow closer to each other and to God. It takes just a few minutes a day.
How does the daily question work?
Each day you both get the same question. You answer privately, and so does your spouse. Once you've both answered, your responses are revealed to each other — so the conversation stays honest rather than performative. You can then react to and reply to each other's answers.
How do I connect with my spouse on Cleave?
One of you creates an account and sends an invitation by link or email. When your spouse accepts, you're linked as a couple and can share the daily moment together. One subscription covers both of you.
Do we both need to use it?
Cleave is designed for two. Features like the daily question and its reveal only come to life when you are both taking part. You can start on your own and invite your spouse whenever you are ready.
Privacy & safety
Is Cleave private? Who can see our answers?
Cleave is private between the two of you. Your answers are shared only with your spouse, and only after you've both answered. Nothing you write is public, and we never sell your data. You can read the full detail in our Privacy Policy.
We are going through a hard time — can Cleave help?
Yes. Cleave includes free in-the-moment repair tools — including "Send a pause," a gentle way to ask for a breather — alongside guided reset pathways. It is a tool to help you reconnect, not a replacement for professional support or counselling when you need it.

Is Cleave free?
Yes — the daily moment, the devotionals, the shared question, and the core features are free to use. An optional plan, Covenant Plus, unlocks the full library of challenges, games, and reset pathways.
What does Covenant Plus cost, and what's included?
Covenant Plus is £4.99 a month or £34.99 a year, and it unlocks every challenge, repair tool, and reset pathway. There is also a one-time Founding Member option — £59.99 for lifetime access. One plan covers both spouses.
How do I upgrade, manage, or cancel my plan?
You can start or manage Covenant Plus at cleaveapp.com. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of your billing period. Founding Member is a one-off purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.

Does Cleave work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. On iPhone, download Cleave from the App Store. On Android, get it from Google Play. And on any phone, tablet, or computer, cleaveapp.com works in your browser — add it to your home screen for the full app experience.
Faith
Which Bible translation does Cleave use?
Scripture in Cleave is from the World English Bible (British Edition) — a faithful, modern-English, public-domain translation in the historic tradition.
Is Cleave only for Christians?
Cleave is built on a Christian foundation — Scripture, prayer, and biblical wisdom run through it. Any couple who wants to grow closer is welcome, and the heart of the app is faith-centred.
Your account & support
How do I turn on daily reminders?
Open Profile in the app and turn on notifications (or tap "Turn on reminders" when prompted), then choose the time you would like your daily nudge. You can change or switch these off at any time.
Can I delete my account or export my data?
Yes. In Profile you can unlink your spouse, export a copy of your data, or delete your account. Deleting removes your information; your spouse keeps their own account and private notes.
