1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cleave, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application. These terms apply to all users, including both free and paid subscribers.
2. Description of Service
Cleave is a faith-centred marriage enrichment application that provides daily devotionals, couple questions, marriage challenges, conflict repair tools, and other features designed to help married couples grow together. The service is available as a free tier (Covenant Preview) and as paid subscriptions (Covenant Plus) with additional features.
Cleave is operated by Sagacity Network Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15712287), whose registered office is at Pendle Drive, Basildon, SS14 3LT. In these terms, “Cleave”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Sagacity Network Ltd.
3. Account Registration
To use Cleave, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.
Each person may only maintain one account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred to another person. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile settings.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
Cleave offers the following plans:
- Free — access to core features including the daily devotional, couple questions, and a selection of games and tools
- Covenant Plus Monthly — full access to all features, billed monthly at £4.99
- Covenant Plus Yearly — full access to all features, billed annually at £34.99
- Founding Member — lifetime access via a one-time payment of £59.99 (limited availability)
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions are purchased and managed at cleaveapp.com, and one subscription covers both linked spouses.
Automatic renewal. Covenant Plus Monthly and Yearly renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. Founding Member is a one-time payment and does not renew. We will tell you in advance of any change to your renewal price.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account at cleaveapp.com. When you cancel, you keep access to the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused part of a period except where the law requires it.
Your 14-day right to cancel (UK consumers). You normally have the right to cancel a purchase of digital content within 14 days for a refund. Because Cleave gives you access to paid digital content immediately, by subscribing you expressly ask us to begin providing it straight away and you acknowledge that you lose this 14-day cancellation right once access has begun. If you change your mind before using the paid features, email hello@cleaveapp.com within 14 days and we will refund you. This does not affect your other legal rights, including where paid content is faulty or not as described.
5. Shop — Merchandise and Digital Downloads
At cleaveapp.com/shop we sell physical merchandise (such as keepsake mugs and prints) and, from time to time, digital downloads (such as ebooks). You do not need a Cleave account to buy. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies; any delivery charge is shown before you pay. Payment is processed securely by Stripe.
Your order. Placing an order is an offer to buy; a contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. If an item is unavailable, or a genuine pricing or description error has occurred, we may decline or cancel the order and give you a full refund.
Physical items — made to order and delivery. Our physical items are printed to order by our print partner, Printify, and its print and delivery providers, then posted to the address you give at checkout. Production and delivery together typically take around 5–8 working days but can take longer at busy times; timescales are estimates, not guarantees. We deliver to the countries listed at checkout. For international orders, any customs or import charges are your responsibility.
Physical items — your 14-day right to cancel (UK consumers). You may cancel your order of physical goods within 14 days of receiving them, for any reason. To cancel, email hello@cleaveapp.com. Please return the goods to us unused and in their original condition within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel. You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the goods are faulty or not as described. We will refund you (including standard outbound delivery) within 14 days of receiving the goods back or your proof of return.
Digital downloads. Digital items are supplied to you straight away by email. As with our subscriptions, by buying a digital item and ticking the confirmation box you expressly ask us to begin supplying it immediately and you acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once the download has begun. Download links remain available for a limited time (currently 7 days).
Faulty or misdescribed goods. Nothing here affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, tell us within a reasonable time and we will put it right with a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you. Refunds are made to your original payment method.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Cleave for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Harass, abuse, or harm another person through the couple-linking or messaging features
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
7. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create within Cleave, including journal entries, love notes, check-in responses, and daily question answers. By using the service, you grant Cleave a limited licence to store, process, and display your content back to you and your linked partner as part of the service.
We do not publicly share, sell, or use your personal content for any purpose other than providing the service. Individual answers to couple questions remain private until both partners have responded.
8. Couple Linking
Cleave allows you to link your account with your spouse via an email invitation. Linking is consent-based — both parties must actively accept the connection. Either party may unlink their account at any time through their profile settings. Unlinking does not delete individual account data but does remove access to shared couple features and history.
9. Intellectual Property
The original content we provide through Cleave, including our devotionals, exercises, games, assessments, and educational materials, is the intellectual property of Sagacity Network Ltd and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without prior written permission.
